Thank you for supporting your young musician to join music centre.
We appreciate that attending centre requires commitment from you too. SEDMC is a charity who received funding from Derbyshire Music Hub. We work hard to keep termly fees as low as possible. Concerts and events form part of our fundraising so your support is vital.

Please support your young musician(s) to attend the termly concerts and encourage them to be involved in performance opportunities.
Investing in their musical journey is an investment in all aspects of their lives. If you want to be good at music you need to work for it - the benefits of this spread to every aspect of life.

What we expect from you:

Commit to attending music centre

Listen to your group leader, teachers, conductors

Be polite and kind to all other SEDMC members

Commit to attend the termly concerts

Commit to and seize performance opportunities

Help in centre with setting up/clearing away

Enjoy exploring different groups and musical genres

Rehearsals run for 30 weeks each year, split over three terms.

Each term costs £50 and allows members to access up to three groups on Saturday mornings.
​​

The fees for Schools Orchestras are £40 per term.

Burseries
As a charity, we want to make music accessible to all, that's why we offer bursaries to:

Members who are in receipt of income or circumstance based free school meals.​

Members in receipt of SEND support or an ECHP in their education setting.
-
Families who have more than one member in the centre.
