South East Derbyshire Music Centre is running a special Guitar Day, giving young musicians the chance to experience playing as part of a large band with other like-minded players from across the local area. For all Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Ukulele and Bass Guitar Players

This FREE will run as two separate sessions, so players can take part at a level that suits them best:
9:00–10:00am | Ideal for new players who are still developing confidence or are new to playing in a larger band – arrival and registration from 8:45
10:30am–11:30pm | For more confident players and notation/tab readers looking something more musically challenging – arrival and registration from 10:15
Sessions will be led by our experienced SEDMC staff and visiting professionals; all are welcome!
These special days are about promoting group music making and aims to be:
🎻 Musically inspiring – developing ensemble skills, listening, blend and projection
📈 Confidence-boosting – helping players feel more secure, independent and motivated in their playing
😊 Above all, fun – making music together in a supportive, encouraging environment
📍 Location: Kirk Hallam Community Academy (Turn right through the gates)
🎸What to bring: Your instrument, any amps and leads, a tablet to access music if you have one (no problem if not, printed copies will be available)
